  • The “Center of Activity” for the Greater Pittston Business Community since 1920, The Greater Pittston Chamber of Commerce, located in the heart of the City of Pittston, PA is a driving force behind the economic development and business growth of our community.  Our 400+ members benefit from our commitment to support small local businesses, recruit new companies to our area, develop a topnotch workforce and advocate for support via legislative and educational forums. Geographically, as part of the NEPA region, members are minutes from five major interstates (I-81, I-80, I-84, I-380 and I-476), within 200 miles of 51 Million consumers, and a quick drive to entertainment and recreation venues like Mohegan Sun Pocono, Montage Mountain Resorts and PNC Fields, home of the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders.

  • Our Purpose Our Purpose

    The Greater Pittston Chamber of Commerce is organized for the purpose of advancing and assisting the financial, industrial, commercial, professional and civic interests of the City of Pittston and its surrounding communities. We promote integrity and good faith and just and equitable principles in business. We distribute information of value and represent the Greater Pittston Business Community in county, state and national affairs. In our activities, we remain non-partisan, non-sectional and non-sectarian. 

  • Our History Our History

    Incorporated on June 26, 1920, the Greater Pittston Chamber of Commerce has served as the organization through which business executives, professionals and community leaders have united to provide leadership and direction for the economic and social development of the Greater Pittston Area.

    Over the years:

    • Owned and developed the lands that are now the Barnum, O’Hara and Grimes Industrial Parks which attract businesses from all over the country, creating and retaining over 5000 jobs
    • Secured $1.5 Million grant to aid in the restructuring and resurfacing of Commerce Road in Grimes Industrial Park
    • Played a pivotal role in the creation and retention of employment opportunities for over 90 local businesses including SCHOTT North America, Keystone Automotive Operations, Inc., and Pride Mobility Products, Corp.
    • Secured $8.75 Million in grants from Pennsylvania’s BIOS Program to support the infrastructure improvements into CenterPoint East and West Commerce and Trade Parks which paved the way for the construction of over 5 million square feet of industrial space, housing over 30 companies and creating over 2700 jobs
    • Completed a $2.5 Million infrastructure project into a 47-industrial acre parcel and secured KOZ status for land owned by the Chamber in Duryea Borough
